State Bank of India Recruitment 2015 – Probationary Officers (2000 Vacancies)

State Bank of India (SBI), founded in 1956 and headquartered in Mumbai, is a government owned multinational banking and financial services company based in India. As of December 2013, it has 16,000 branches, including 190 foreign offices, making it the largest banking and financial services company in the country by assets.

SBI invites online applications for recruitment of the following Probationary Officers (PO) 2000 Job Vacancies, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are requested to apply online SBI Bank website as per the procedure mentioned below.

Important Dates
Online Registration of Application: 13th April 2015
Last Date for Registration of Application: 07th May 2015 (Date Revised)
Date of Online Exam: June 2015 (Tentative)

Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification: Graduates in any stream from a recognised university, as on 01st September 2015.
Age Criteria: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years as on 01st April 2015 (Born before 01st April 1994 and after 02nd April 1985 – both days inclusive).

Please Note – Final Year may also apply but will need to produce proof of having passed graduation exam on or before 01st September 2015.

Selection Procedure
The Selection Process is divided in 2 phases:

Phase I: Preliminary Examination: The Exam consist of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:
Phase – II: Main Examination: This exam will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online.
Phase – III: :Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks) The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion &Interview will be as decided by the Bank.


Final Selection : The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be added to the marks obtained in GD & Interview (Phase-III) for preparation of the final merit list.

Salary Details
The starting Basic Pay for SBI PO is Rs 16,900/- and will also be eligible for DA, HRA & CCA.
The compensation per annum at Mumbai is around Rs 70,000/- per month.

Probationary Officers will be on probation 2 years

Application Fees
SC / ST / PWD – Rs 100/- (Intimation Charges)
General Category – Rs 600/- (Application Fee including intimation charges)
Fee is non refundable.

How to Apply
Candidates have to register online through SBI website and required to pay an application fee Online Mode or Offline Mode.
i) Offline Mode – Post registration, you can pay the requisite fee through computer generated challan form.
ii) Online Mode – Post registration, you can also pay using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking.

You will receive the registration confirmation through email/sms after 3 days of depositing payment.

Along with these, you need to upload a recent photo & scanned signature along with the online application.
