State Bank of India (SBI), founded in 1956 and headquartered in Mumbai, is a government owned multinational banking and financial services company based in India. As of December 2013, it has 16,000 branches, including 190 foreign offices, making it the largest banking and financial services company in the country by assets.
SBI invites online applications for recruitment of the following Probationary Officers 1837 Job Vacancies, candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are requested to apply online SBI Bank website as per the procedure mentioned below.
Online Registration of Application: 07th April 2014
Last Date for Registration of Application: 25th April 2014
Date of Online Exam: June 2014 (Tentative)
Education Qualification: Graduates in any stream from a recognised university, as on 10th August 2014.
Age Criteria: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 30 years as on 01st April 2014 (Born before 01st April 1993 and after 02nd April 1984 – both days inclusive).
Please Note - Final Year may also apply but will need to produce proof of having passed graduation exam on or before 10th August 2014.
The Selection Process is divided in 2 phases:
Phase I – Online Test (Objective Type) 200 Marks & Descriptive Test (Handwritten) 50 Marks.
Phase II – Group Discussion & Interview
Candidates will have to qualify Phase I & Phase II separately to qualify for the post.
The starting Basic Pay for SBI PO is Rs 16,900/- and will also be eligible for DA, HRA & CCA.
The compensation per annum at Mumbai is around Rs 70,000/- per month.

Probationary Officers will be on probation 2 years
SC / ST / PWD – Rs 100/- (Intimation Charges)
General Category – Rs 500/- (Application Fee including intimation charges)
Fee is non refundable.
How to Apply
Candidates have to register online through SBI website and required to pay an application fee Online Mode or Offline Mode.
i) Offline Mode - Post registration, you can pay the requisite fee through computer generated challan form.
ii) Online Mode - Post registration, you can also pay using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking.
You will receive the registration confirmation through email/sms after 3 days of depositing payment.
Along with these, you need to upload a recent photo & scanned signature along with the online application.
