We receive a various queries for Students and Candidates aspiring to make a career in Banking Sector. Since it is mandatory to clear the IBPS Exam to get a job in Public Sector Bank, most of the queries are related to IBPS PO and Clerk Exam. Q) When is the Next IBPS Exam in 2014?
A) This is one of the most common queries for IBPS Exam.
PO Advertisement will be released around June – July 2014 and the exam will be held around October.
Clerk Advertisement will be released around July – August 2014 and the exam will be held around November.
Candidates have approximately 3 – 4 months to prepare for the Exam after they register for the exam.

Q) Is 60 percent necessary for IBPS PO?
A) No – As of IBPS PO / Clerk 2013
Initially when IBPS had released the advertisement for Probationary Officers Exam, they had mentioned that Graduates with minimum 60% marks can only apply. Later they issued a Correndum stating that only Graduation is required for IBPS PO.
What will be the requirement for IBPS PO 2014 is still not known, though many predict that this year there may be a cut off percentage required (no confirmation though), and how much that will be is still not known.
Q) I missed the IBPS Exam Dates, what should I do now? Do I wait for the next year?
A) If you have missed the date, you have an option for either waiting for the next year and prepare yourself the exam.
Remember is not going to be easy, the more you practise the better are your chances of qualifying. Alternatively, there are various other banks which conduct exam and offer jobs, you can apply for these exams, if you qualify; Great; else you will have an experience of how bank exams are conducted and what kind of questions are asked.

Q) Is IBPS Conducted Twice a Year?
A) No – IBPS PO & Clerk Exam is conducted only once every year. Initially it was decided that the exam will be held 2 times every year but later IBPS decided to conduct the exam only once every year between Oct – Nov for PO and Nov – Dec for clerk.
Q) Validity Period of IPBS Scorecard?
A) IBPS Scorecard is valid for a period of 1 year.
Q) Is Calculator Allowed for IBPS Examination?
A) No, You are not allowed to use or have in possession calculator in the examination premises.
Q) What is the Age Limit for IBPS Exam? What if I don’t qualify?
A) Clerk – Minimum: 20 years & Maximum: 28 years
PO – Minimum: 20 years & Maximum: 30 years
Age Reservation – SC / ST – 5 Years & OBC – 3 Years

Q) Is IBPS Exam Tough or Easy?
A) Now that is the most difficult to answer, you have to understand that there is fierce competition for these exams, and the number of jobs opportunities is limited. So if you want to get through you have to clear the exam as well as score well. So it does not matter if the exam is easy or difficult, you have to prepare yourself well for the exam and get the job.
